I’m so excited to be stepping into the weekend with my 100th post!
The time has flown by, and I have more great content in store for She’s So Bright. Jon, certified IT man and extraordinary husband, is already working on some awesome updates to the site, and I have a lot of posts coming through the pipeline. From beauty experiments, to think pieces, and home decor, I hope you’ll give She’s So Bright a regular spot in your blog repertoire!
I have a pile of projects planned for the weekend. There are four giant, five-foot-long planters taking up space in my hallway, so I will be pulling inspiration for flower boxes and hopefully getting to the garden supply store later today. I am also wrapping my head around a few closet transformations that will require my apartment to ascend into chaos as I sort and reorganize all my things for spring. But with what has been happening in the world lately, with whispers of war and threats to net neutrality, it’s more important than ever to keep my surroundings in order amid external anxieties.
In other news, I’ve been wearing my cozy moccasins way too much around the house, so I’ve vowed to do a better job of putting on real shoes while I work. I think there’s a pretty big difference to your day when you’re too snuggly – know what I mean? I’d at least like to sit a little straighter in my chair. Well, these super cute Zara flats caught my eye a few weeks back and it’s finally the right temperature to wear them indoors and out! The velvet makes them look more expensive than they cost ($39!) and while I’m not really an embroidery kind of girl, the pineapples add some fun quirk. And for those ladies out there who have larger feet, as I do, they make my feet look small, which is always something worth celebrating.
So, with that, I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Take time to do some outdoor projects, grab a lick of ice cream, and enjoy the end of April from wherever you are!
These shoes seem to be no longer available from Zara but I’ve got my eye on this pair and these heels!
