Happy Galentine’s Day! I’m really into the holiday this year, and I’ve made an effort to send a few small gifts to my four sisters and a couple of my girlfriends scattered around the country. It’s a nice way to say thank you to the women in my life who have offered me support through the years, and it evokes the warm fuzzy feeling of sending Valentine’s to my classmates. My favorite gift came from my friend this year who sent me a care package with a graphic novel, some Japanese fine-point pens and the loveliest card. It was really thoughtful and totally what I needed.
That giveaway sounds awesome. My favorite valentines gift would be some chocolate or a nice relaxing spa night.

A trail of colorful paper hearts from bedroom to kitchen with playful messages ranging from “Tricia loves to chase boys” “Tricia loves boogers” we’re written by my Dad (his favorite holiday). Over the years, the same old corny favorites would get mailed to college, or wherever “home” became.
My grandmother would use her lipstick to draw a heart with message on the bathroom mirror for my grandpa. I’ve continued that tradition with my husband. One day, if we have kiddos I hope my husband will spoil them with a trail of ♥️♥️♥️

I think my favorite Valentine’s gift is the gorgeous handbag I received this year. But I also love our tradition of going out for Shack Shake instead of a fancy dinner. No need to spend a lot of money to feel special and loved. Love you and Happy Galentine’s Day!!! xoxo
My best Valentine’s gift came this year, even though I’m not seeing anyone! My bestie sent me a little RBG care package (we both love her!) with her book of essays, a cookbook written by her late husband (who was super supportive of her and her ambitions and sounded generally amazing), and a lovely card. It was so thoughtful and lovely, just like my friend!!
Just to clarify, RBG’s late husband wrote the cookbook. He was really into cooking!
