With all my trips to Paris, I had never made it to the expansive Père Lachaise cemetery, but I was determined to see it for the first time. Our first attempt was thwarted after a 45-minute subway ride – the cemetery was closed due to high winds – and so we were left catching an Uber against the sealed walls and making other plans. The next day, we arrived to find that the wind had subsided and we were able to wander the tombs in peace.
I was in awe of the size of this cemetery, and by the beauty of each crypt, ever mindful of the countless stories behind every facade. Come along and wander with me…
Thanks for coming along! Until our next wander together…
