I’m so sad and angry about the tragedy in Orlando, that it’s set my mood for this past week. I’ve been endlessly scrolling Facebook, reading articles, and doing what I can to be involved and active in the conversation about hate and guns. While I don’t really want to be political on my blog, I do want to be honest about who I am and what I believe in.
On a more personal note, I’m basically one month away from my wedding. While there’s still quite a few things to finish, I think I’m just feeling the general stress of these last few weeks before the event. Somehow I have still not found wedding shoes, and I’ve sort of resigned myself that it’s not a big deal. I’d rather wear an old pair I love, than spend the rest of my time searching for a shoe that doesn’t exist. We’re now at the point of finalizing the table settings, signage, and programs, and while I’ve done stationery projects like these for many years, I feel a little maxed out with all the details.
I’m looking forward to our first dance lesson on Monday, which should breathe some much needed energy into my whole week. And with that, I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of the love you deserve!
