You didn’t think I would go all the way to Paris for engagement photos and not get a new dress, did you? I spent nearly two months scouring the internet, trying to find something that had the mix of sexy and sweet I was looking for (and a touch of vintage). Luckily, a week before our flight, I came across this Zimmermann dress. The fitted waist, soft florals, and flirty eyelets were the perfect combination. The flower pattern added bright, spring details (which I deemed necessary for an engagement dress), and the Alexander Wang sandals are simple and subtle in bubble gum pink.
I wanted our engagement pictures to capture how we enjoy spending time together and thought it was a good idea for us to be doing something. So before we went to Paris, I sent our photographer, Greg Finck, a few editorial photos I found on Pinterest. One image had models holding cotton candy, and as soon as I sent it, Greg said, “we’re doing THAT!” I was excited, but a little perplexed about where to find cotton candy in the late afternoon in Paris. Turns out, right under the Eiffel Tower!
Everyone exited our Uber, Greg bought the sweets, and I changed out of my black dress with only the tinted van windows between me and the swarms of tourists outside.
It was pretty easy to wolf down all that sugar!
And finally a stroll, to work off all those extra calories.
