Winding paths have been on my mind. Specifically, those moments in our lives where we can look back and see where the fork was in the road. We make decisions in these moments hoping they’ll bring us somewhere new, somewhere we’ve planned to be, when sometimes they lead us right back to where we started. It takes courage to take a path less traveled. To stare into the unknown is always a challenge. But I guess sometimes I have to remind myself, to be brave again, to stick to the path I’ve chosen, and to trust that it will lead me where it wants me to go.

I think it’s important to look back on life decisions, to see which ones served you and which perhaps needed more thought because they didn’t produce a good outcome. That kind of reflection can serve us well going into a new year!
