The day after Thanksgiving was always a big shopping day for my family. We’d wake up early, fill the cars, and head to the mall to buy all our presents for Christmas. By lunch time we were exhausted and would slink back to the house in search of leftover turkey and stuffing. It was a really fun tradition, but as the internet has become our favorite place to shop, my sisters and I spend less time in stores, and more time looking forward to Cyber Monday.
Lately it seems like the sales have expanded to the entire week of Thanksgiving, so I’ve felt less in a desperate rush to buy things, and more interested in taking my time. This year, however, I’m looking to simply stock up on a few basics. Always in need of new white tees (I wear mine out until they’re literally rags), I’m picking up a few of these in Shopbop’s latest sale. I also need to snag a pair of fluffy moccasins for wearing around the house. I like these Minnetonka ones (mine are so worn out there’s no fur left inside), but it’s never a guarantee that they’re on sale. Today I’ll be helping my father pick out a new couch, and other than those few things I mentioned, it’ll be a pretty quiet shopping day for me.
If you’re interested in finding some of the best sales, check out this list from Man Repeller, which pretty much covers it all! Have a great time shopping until you drop!
