Winter is the time for burgundy lips! So when I went looking for a new lipstick last week, I knew I wanted a deep color that would feel festive around the holidays. After trying on a couple of lipsticks that weren’t right, I fell in love with this NARS Lip Pencil in Endangered Red.

I’ve been very into the NARS lip pencils this year, and I think it’s because they’re just so easy. Stick the color on your lip and it’s done – great pigment with a satisfying creamy application! It’s definitely a cult favorite of mine. The pencil is pretty chubby, so it’s not as precise as a proper lip pencil, but I find that it’s still easy to get a great line without much trouble. I also like the texture of the product on my lips. With a well moisturized base, the lip pencil keeps its color, stays matte, but isn’t drying or flakey like so many other matte lipsticks. I can wear it all day without a second application and it still holds great color!

I’m so excited to wear this lip color around Paris during the holidays. While I’ll be skipping the glass of Burgundy, I can still enjoy the look of wine-stained lips while strolling down the Champs-Élysées!
