There’s never a sunrise that I regret seeing.

I’m not sure if it’s the feeling that September is upon us, a rush to plan fall trips and activities, or the thought that we’re mostly through the entire year, but lately I’ve been feeling hurried. Both my body and brain are moving so fast that I often can’t keep my head wrapped around the same topic for more than a few minutes at a time. I always think it’s social media since that’s what draws me back and forth to my phone, but lately, I blame anxiety for keeping me buzzing around. I’m dialing back my lattes and making sure to read before bed, but sometimes we just need a visual reminder to keep us in line.

And so, if you’re feeling rushed this week, or if your mind going faster than you’d like, take a moment to enjoy this graphic to remind us all to simply slow down.

What’s a reminder you’ve needed lately? Share with me in the comments below! I took these photos during sunrise at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado the morning after my Grandmother passed. I think she might have stopped for a moment to say goodbye…

  1. Beautiful photos, they definitely feel peaceful and calming.

Autumn for me has always been a soothing time of year – the somber, reflective qualities of the season speak to me and this is when I feel most at peace and most in my element. I know that it feels very differently for others, so getting in tune with the cycles of nature can be very therapeutic in that regard.
